While not the first ever made, chronologically first in the saga, and if we had started here we may never have received 8 other sequels. For some that's a good thing, for others, it would be a tragedy. The prequels have been equally praised by the younger generation and destroyed by the older ones, but at its heart is it actually a terrible movie? We go through it scene by scene to see if it deserves the title or not. Not a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, but right here and now.
