The movie based on a trading card (which is always a great basis for a movie) was a huge box office flop when it came out. Even though there were thousands of kids who liked the Garbage Pail Kids, they couldn't get them to see the movie. The truth is it was doomed from the start by a horrible plot (they form a sweatshop to meet a teenage girl’s demand for a fashion show) or animatronic heads that don't work (nightmare fuel). Whatever it was, this film is a disaster and we try to find a single redeeming quality. Is there a reason that this movie actually rules?
